About the Role
The AVP/Director – Sales & Marketing will lead commercial strategy, revenue growth, and global customer development for the company’s cosmetics and perfume bottle packaging division. The role focuses on building long-term partnerships with beauty, skincare, haircare, and fragrance brands while driving new product development, premium packaging innovation, and market expansion across international regions.
This position demands strong technical understanding of primary packaging, deep industry contacts, and proven experience managing high-value B2B accounts in the beauty ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
1. Commercial Strategy & Revenue Ownership
Own regional/global revenue targets for the Cosmetics & Perfume packaging category.
Develop and execute market penetration strategies for North America, Europe, Middle East, and APAC (or assigned region).
Drive annual and quarterly sales plans aligned with company growth goals.
Identify margin expansion opportunities and lead pricing strategy.
2. Key Account Leadership
Manage strategic relationships with global beauty houses, fragrance brands, contract manufacturers, and private-label companies.
Grow wallet share across existing customers through cross-selling of bottles, closures, pumps, and decoration solutions.
Negotiate long-term supply agreements, yearly rate contracts, and multi-project NPD pipelines.
Act as escalation point for service issues, deliveries, and quality compliance.
3. Business Development & Market Expansion
Source and acquire new customers across prestige, masstige, and mass beauty segments.
Identify market trends in shapes, finishes, sustainability, glass quality, PCR usage, and smart packaging.
Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and buyer meetings.
Develop partnerships with design agencies, fragrance houses, and packaging consultants.
4. Product, Marketing & Innovation Interface
Work closely with R&D, mould design, and technical teams to develop new bottle designs, custom tooling, and decorative effects.
Translate brand briefs into feasible packaging solutions (glass, PET, PP, hybrid materials).
Lead go-to-market strategy, marketing collateral creation, and product launch planning.
Benchmark competition and maintain strong intelligence on category innovation.
5. Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with supply chain, manufacturing, and planning teams for capacity allocation and delivery accuracy.
Align quality teams with customer expectations and global standards.
Lead a team of regional sales managers, account executives, and marketing professionals.
Drive CRM adoption, forecasting discipline, and structured business reviews.
6. Forecasting, Reporting & Governance
Deliver accurate monthly sales forecasts and funnel reporting.
Track KPIs — revenue, margins, NPD conversions, customer satisfaction, and AR.
Prepare executive-level presentations on market trends, competitive positioning, and account strategy.
Requirements
15–22+ years of B2B sales experience in primary packaging (glass, plastic, or hybrid materials) for cosmetics, skincare, personal care, or fragrance segments.
Strong network with packaging development, procurement, and brand management teams at global beauty companies.
Demonstrated success managing multimillion-dollar accounts and long development cycles.
Experience with custom mould development, decoration processes, and packaging sustainability requirements.
Ability to work across international markets and manage multicultural teams.
MBA or equivalent qualification is preferred.
